Spleen weight (PFOA)
Spleen weight (PFOA): All data presented as % control of relative spleen weight (spleen/body weight x 100). Data from mice (black text) and rats (green text). Hu (2010) and Hines (2009) data [in blue] are from mice exposed during development; all other data from adult exposures. Griffith (1980) (1000 ppm PFOA in diet 90-day) male/female CD rats reported as not different from controls (data not shown). Qazi (2013b) (0.144 mg/kg-day diet for 10 or 28 days) in C57BL/6 male mice reported as not different from controls (data not shown). Fairly 2007, Son 2009, Yang 2001, 2002a, 2006 (absolute spleen weight data only). Yang (2006) spleen data not included because spleen weight data reported in Table 1 are identical to data in Table 1 Yang (2000).
