O. melastigma was cultured in artificial seawater at a salinity of 30‰ and temperature of 28 ± 2 C with a constant 14 h-light/10 hdark photoperiod. They were fed with live brine shrimp nauplii (Artemia sp.) twice a day. Three-month old fish were used in the current study.
