Housed under laboratory conditions: temperature 22-24 ºC, relative humidity 40-60%, and light and dark cycles were maintained at 12 h interval; housed in polythene cages and allowed for one week for acclimatization; rats fed on a standard rat pellet diet and tap water ad libitum.
