The animals were allowed to acclimatize to the laboratory conditions for a week before experimentation. The rats (weighed 200-230 gms) were randomly divided into three groups of five each. Group I animals served as control and given normal tap water, Group II animals -1 were administered with sodium fluoride (20 mg kg b.wt.) through drinking water and Group III animals received sodium fluoride (20 -1 -1 mg kg b.wt.) and simultaneously curcumin (20 mg kg b.wt.) by gavage. The treatment was continued for a period of 30 days.
