Adult male rats of Wistar strain
were used in the study. The animals were housed in polypropylene cages with
paddy husk as the bedding material. The animals were maintained at 12:12 hour
light and dark cycle, food and water were provided ad libitum. The experimental
protocol was approved by the Institutional Animal Ethics Committee
(IAEC/KMC/21/ 2009-2010). All the experiments were conducted according to the
guidelines laid by the Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of
Experiments on Animals Government of India. |
