Sodium fluoride (ExcelaR) obtained from Qualigens Fine Chemicals, Mumbai was used. The animals were divided into three groups of (6 rats each). Aqueous solution of sodium fluoride was administered orally at a dose of 10 mg/kg in one group and 20 mg/kg in other group daily for a period of three months. One group of animals were kept without any treatment and served as control.; Albino rats (Druckery strain, male, adult, body weight 100-115 g) were obtained from the animal-breeding colony of ITRC, Lucknow and were maintained under standard laboratory condition. Animals were allowed to feed on a standard pellet diet (Hindustan Liver Ltd. New Delhi) and water ad libitum. |
