The animal model of chronic fluorosis was established by mixing sodium fluoride (analytical purity) into the drinking water. The control group was treated with drinking water containing fluoride less than 1 mg/L; low fluoride exposure group was drinking water with a fluoride concentration of 5 mg/L; and high fluoride exposure group was drinking water with a fluoride concentration of 50 mg/L.; A total of 24 SD rats, whose weights were between 100 and 120g and with a 1:1 female to male ratio, were provided by Guizhou Laboratory Animal Engineering Technology Center for the experiment. The selected rats were randomly divided into 3 groups (8 per group) based on body weight and gender, and were fed with standard animal food. |
