Rats in the control group were drinking water containing less than 0.5 mg/L of fluoride; rats in the low fluoride exposure group were drinking water containing 5 mg/L of fluoride; and rats in the high fluoride exposure group were drinking water containing 50 mg/L of fluoride. The animals were examined six months after initiating the experiment.; Pure SD rats used in the experiments were provided by Guizhou Laboratory Animal Engineering Technology Center. A total of 24 rats, weighting 100 to 120 g, were randomly divided into 3 groups based on body weight, 8 in each group (half male and half female). All the rats were fed with standard animal food. |
